Among all the photos taken by iPhone6 by users all around the world, the photo of Ha Long Bay with the stunning views of the islets and mountains on the sea has gained the attention of many people.
The picture, which shows several boats peacefully docked on calm, blue water next to the bay’s typical karst mountains, was shot by Karla R. using an iPhone 6 camera and edited with mobile photography app VSCO Cam, Apple said on its World Gallery page.

Under the photo lies Apple’s tip to “see what’s possible with the world’s most popular camera.”
“Grouping complementary colors together can cast a hue over the whole photo. The blues of the boat and water mix with the greens of the rocks to paint the scene in a teal patina,” reads the tip.
Ha Long Bay, literally translated as descending dragon bay, is a popular travel destination in the northern Vietnamese province of Quang Ninh.
The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles of various sizes and shapes.
Ha Long Bay was first listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 in recognition of its outstanding, universal aesthetic value. In 2000 the World Heritage Committee additionally recognized Ha Long Bay for its outstanding geological and geomorphologic value, and its World Heritage Listing was updated.
Apple’s World Gallery also features iPhone 6-taken photos from the U.S., Canada, Japan, Iceland, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Scotland and New Zealand.
Some of the photos are edited using popular apps such as Instagram, Snapseed, VSCO Cam, Mextures, Filterstorm Neue, Camera+, and Adobe Photoshop Express.
The photos were introduced under the "Shot on iPhone 6" campaign, which was launched on Sunday as Apple turned to iPhone photographers to show off “iPhone photography,” or taking photos using the renowned smartphone’s camera.
The California-based company is also rolling out another iPhone 6 photography campaign which will comprise 77 photographers from around the world across print media in 70 cities and 24 countries, according to iMore, an all-about-Apple website.
“From Sydney to Beijing to San Francisco to New York City to London and more, Apple will feature the iPhone photographers and their work on posters at transit stops and stations and in newspaper ads and on billboards,” the website said.
Austin Mann, a famous U.S. travel photographer known for the superlative images taken around the world with his iPhone, is among the photographers featured in the campaign.
